About our woven furniture:
All of our hand woven furniture retains the classic style of traditional wicker pieces, but with the added benefit of complete weather resistance. In addition, because every piece is hand-wove, each item is completely unique as Individual as the person who wove it.
We weave over fully welded, powder coated aluminum frames, in this advanced method we apply a protective powder made of a finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is electro statically sprayed onto the frame surface to be coated. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces until the powder is heated and fused into a smooth coating in the curing oven. The result is a uniform, durable, high quality frame highly resistant to corrosion. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes, is also highly protective of our environment. While liquid finishes contain solvents which have pollutants known as volatile organic compounds (VOC's), powder coating contains no solvents. All of our furniture adopts original PE rattan, aluminum frame and refined handcraft. Unlike our competitors that generally use 1.0mm thick aluminum pipes, we use 1.2mm to ensure quality. And, all rattans we use in production comply with the RoHS Directive and pass stringent UV and waterproof tests. Furthermore, every unit is subjected to a four-stage QC process, from incoming materials to final packing
All our woven furniture is made from only the highest quality man-made fiber known as durable polyethylene (also commonly referred to as synthetic rattan or PE rattan). Soft to the touch, this remarkable material has many benefits including high suppleness, tear resistance, and weather resistance. The polyethylene based, extruded and through-dyed wicker is also completely weatherproof, insensitive to differences in temperature and extremely hard wearing. Polyethylene rattan is environmentally friendly and recyclable, It’s also specially designed with protectors against UV, oxidation, heat, humidity, mould and mildew; is highly durable, resistant to splintering, cracking, peeling and corrosion. In short, built to last in the great outdoors!
Our cushions are water repellant. However they are not intended to be left outside permanently. If left outdoors in wet / damp weather like most fabric, cushions may become prone to mould or mildew.
Our furniture is easily maintained by wiping with a damp cloth (or a soft brush to loosen any trapped build up of dirt) every couple of months. This is usually all that is required to keep the furniture in good condition.
